Schools, home school groups, after-school programs, etc., can sign-up now to get ready and get excited for the annual, online Idita-Read race!
The 2009 reading-incentive event starts Monday, February 9, but subscribing now will allow your Team Managers plenty of time to get their teams of Student Mushers set-up and ready to roll. Team Sponsors are also welcome and will be thanked on the Idita-Read.org website.
The 2008 race was our second year running, and 40 teams participated -- that was a wonderful thing, but a lot of work for me, as the Event Coordinator. We expect an even bigger turnout for our 2009 race, so my friendly neighborhood software developers created an online subscription form to handle this year's registrations. Not only is this a "greener" way to go, but subscription processing and team set-up will be a lot quicker for all of us!
This annual, online six-week reading incentive event is provided and coordinated by WW IDEA. We are an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That means, the money generated through these subscriptions helps cover basic expenses for the activity and also helps fund new or improved activity features. We hope that the event continues to grow every year, so that we can build even more fun and engaging features into the activity.
