Oklahoma joins the race

Eight Idita-Read Teams from a school district in Oklahoma joined the 2009 race last week -- we offer a warm welcome to them and look forward to following their progress along the Iditarod Trail! In about a month, you Sooners will be "leaving" your balmy 30-40 degree temperatures for the deep-freeze of Alaska's wilderness. Starting in Anchorage and ending in Nome -- 1,131 miles away -- we hope the experience helps keep you motivated to quickly mush across the Finish Line.

On a related note, the Oklahoma group's subscription administrator had asked me if Idita-Read accepts School Purchase Orders. Indeed we do, knowing that this is often the only way many schools do business. For schools that need us to apply as a Vendor, please let us know and we can complete and submit the necessary paperwork. Upon approval, you can sign-up teams using our secure Subscription Form. For the payment method, simply select "Check or Purchase Order". Upon order submission, you will get emailed a receipt to use for completing the PO process. We also accept all major credit cards, for which a receipt will be auto-emailed.
